The Ethiopian Space Science and Technology Institute announced that Ethiopia will begin selling its satellite imagery in accordance with its own guidelines. Members of the Human Resources and Technology Standing Committee of the People's Council has overseen the satellite monitoring and data collection by the Space Space Science and Technology Institute of Ethiopia.


Members of the Standing Committee commended the staff of the institute for their generosity. Minister of Innovation and Technology Dr. Engineer Getahun Mekuria said that a multi-mission satellite data center will soon be completed to benefit Ethiopia from the sector. The receiver antenna is capable of receiving fifty centimeters of image quality and up to five satellite information at the same time.

According to the Director General of the Ethiopian Space Science and Technology Institute, Dr. Solomon Belay said that eight African countries have submitted satellite image requests in just four days. The satellite which was launched on December 10 is said to be in good working order.
