The satellite is in space from a satellite launch site in China.

The satellite, which collects information and surveys the Earth, dubbed "ETRSS-1", is believed to have a key role in our country's growth journey.


In parallel, it is designed to monitor climate change, to conduct agricultural research and research, and to undertake various other infrastructure activities.

The satellite was launched into space in the presence of senior government officials from a concentration camp in China, and many events marking this historic event in Addis will take place from today.

The day-to-day observance of the ecosystem was conducted in the presence of senior officials of the federal and regional governments, including Deputy Prime Minister Demeke Mekonnen and former Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn.

Deputy Prime Minister Demeke Mekonnen said the ETRSS-1 satellite, which was first launched into space, would provide a historical foundation for the country's prosperity journey.

In his message, the Deputy Prime Minister said technology development and international competitiveness should be strengthened.

He pointed out that this satellite launch is one indication that the country needs to join the rest of the world at a rapid pace.

"The process is also a historic step that has been proven to be a people that we long for the light of our hearts," he said.

They also emphasized that in the future age we need to build on the potential of space science beyond space.

The Deputy Prime Minister thanked individuals, experts, institutions, and partners for the significant contribution made to the development phase of the Space Science development in our country.
